Muhammad Ali, an American prolific boxer is in critical condition in a hospital in Phoenix, Arizona. Reliable sources report that he is battling with a respiratory issue. The 74-year old former heavy weight champion has been battling Parkinson’s disease since he was diagnosed of the disease in 1984.
His family gathered by his bedside soon after he was hospitalized. The family spokesperson, Bob Gunnell, said Thursday that Ali is being treated by a team of doctors for respiratory illness, and “A brief hospital stay is expected.”
Ali is currently battling advanced Parkinson’s disease. He was hospitalized in 2014 and 2015 for urinary tract infection initially diagnosed as pneumonia.
Ali’s daughter Laila Ali, shared photos of him on her Facebook page and posted a Facebook message thanking fans for their support.
Laila posted a precious photo of her daughter and dad, with the post:
“I love this photo of my father and my daughter Sydney when she was a baby!Thank for all the love and well wishes. I feel your love and appreciate it!!”
Ali’s fans are pouring emotional get-well wishes for him.
