The Federal Ministry of Education has issued a firm warning to universities to obey the order to cancel the Post-Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination also known as Post-UTME, required for admission or face dire consequences. The Minister of Education, Mallam Adamu Adamu said on Monday that any institution caught violating the order will be punished.
The Minister said: “The ban is with immediate effect and under no circumstance should any institution violate the directive. Those who have already advertised for the conduct of the Post-UTME under any guise should stop the exercise immediately.”
He directed tertiary institutions who may have already administered Post-UTME to refund students their money.
“If any tertiary institution has already conducted Post-UTME, such an exercise stands annulled and money taken from candidates must be refunded immediately,” he said.
